Background on the National Guard

Who has the authority to activate the National Guard?. Only the Governor of a state or the President of the United States can call/activate the National Guard. It usually starts out that the Governor can activate the NG, but it can go the other way also.

I was in the National Guard/Reserves from 1984 - 2002. My unit was activated for the 1992 Los Angeles Riots, the 1994 Northridge Earthquake & the 1995 California Floods.  A Mayor can request NG Troops.  

When President Trump activated the National Guard to patrol our Southern Border several months ago, no one (especially Democrats) argued too much.  Well, if a President can call in the NG to go to the border, then he can also send them to a city/region.

Why are the Democrats now arguing so much....because they didn't send them in and are trying to save face by calling it illegal. It is not Illegal!  And, they know this by the way, especially a Governor!

The first Federal Judge, somehow deemed Trumps actions as Illegal, then the appellate Judge (same day), said "nonsense" the president dose have the power.  Why would any judge not know this, unless they are just  playing politics.  

Any President has always had this power!  Study History! (i.e. the Civil Rights event in Montgomery, Alabama for just one example).

Los Angeles Riots, 2025

Back-Ground Information: I was activated for the 1992 Los Angeles Riots. I spent 27 Days on duty in the streets of LA. I was a Troop; Executive Officer (1st Lieutenant). 2nd in command of a Cavalry Troop.  My Unit came in the 2nd Day at 0500 Hours into LA. The buildings were still burning and rioters/vandals traveled the streets. by the end of my month of service, I became the Delta Company Commander of a HQ Reactionary force with Task Force Arce. 

Now with this new 2025 Los Angeles Riot, Governor Newsome stated that 1000 National Guard Troops were deployed to LA, but only 300 were on duty, and stated that 700 were sitting in the armories, "Doing Nothing!" 

Well, he knows nothing about military deployments. First, according to how many shifts the NGs used, (1 twelve hour shift, or 3 eight hour shifts, or any other combinations) then some would indeed remain in the armory for change of shift and for contingency emergency backup.  

As Governor of California, he is either ignorant of military operations, or he just assumes that the people of California are stupid and would believe anything he would say in an effort to make President Trump look bad. Either choice makes him look ignorant.

It is not a requirement to have military and/or police background to be a politician, but it sure helps. I am a former Law Enforcement Officer as well as a Military Veteran of over 20 years, I am pretty sure that I would make a good Congressman. Vote for me Please!!!

We have a new Pope!  He is from America and is the first ever Pope from the USA to have been chosen for the last 2000 (or so) years. I understand that he is a Registered Republican and has voted in our elections.  

Situational Awarenes

Watch for Terrorist or Criminal Activities  One of the former Hamas Leaders has issued a Worldwide Jihad on all Infidels. What is an Infidel?  It is anyone that is not a Muslim.  Remember, not all Muslims are Terrorists, but most Middle Eastern Terrorists are Muslim (Islam).  

Watch the area around you (situational awareness). If you see something way out tof the ordinary, then report it. If you are wrong, then you're wrong, but if you are right, then you just my have saved many lives.
